The Case of the Bacon Suit

Murders are afoot! With the smell of bacon in the air! Mr. Holmes we need you're assistance!

[S. Holmes]

Holmes sniffed the air curiously. He shot down to the floor in one quick motion, fingering a fiber of oriental carpeting. He licked his finger and squinted with an air of intense concentration.

"Watson," he shouted. "Watson, Mrs. Hudson is serving bacon for breakfast!"

[Watson]

Good god!!! Not the dog! - exclaimed Watson.

[S. Holmes]

At first Holmes looked confused and then he burst out in a trumpet of a laugh.

"Not Gladstone," he guffawed, lighting his pipe. "The food item that Miss Adler seems to be so particularly fond of." He looked about, shaking the match out. "By the way, where is Miss Adler? She's usually sneaking about trying to steal the best slices." He secretly hoped she would be wearing that pink robe of hers, the one that showed not only a bit of ankle, but an entire shoulder as well.

"You know, Watson," I've been doing some thinking. Perhaps it's time I make an honest woman of her." He turned to Watson in a serious and thoughtful manner, eyes squinting upwards to the heavens as if looking for divine inspiration for the gears churning in his head.

"I have it Watson!" he shouted excitedly, dangling his pipe over Mrs Hudson's shabbiest carpet. "You'll marry the old girl and we'll all live here together!"

After such a deep and noble thought he flopped down in his favorite wicker chair and immediately fell back asleep.

"Who am I marrying today?" Irene asked airily as she entered, an annoyed looking Mrs. Hudson behind her, who's eyes immediately turned to the ashes on her carpet.
Unfortunately, for Holmes, a fully clothed Irene grinned mischievously and leaned over a sleeping Holmes.
