"Oh? Of your surrender?" Pennington breathed. "Shall we discuss it in my ready room?" She had been kissed by a Romulan before...but...she had to admit, four things were rather different, and there was something about these Romulans that just...wasn't Romulan.
Nao'po stared up at the Romulan expressionlessly, something about him...was...implacable, incalculable...illogical. The curve of his face, the color of his eyes, the shape of his body beneath that impractical uniform. She felt an irregular urge to tear him from that illogical uniform...she found herself running her hands up beneath his shirt.

"No, of yours..." the Commander smiled for the first time, but it was with her dark grey, almost black eyes. "You need us, captain." she said warmly as they glided towards the ready room, hand in hand, "More than we need you...". The lust in her eyes said otherwise. She did need the captain.
Meanwhile, Vreenak was eyeing up Nao'po, "Those are the most beautiful tips - are those natural?" His deepest brown eyes were adoring, enchanted, utterly captivated. "The slender curve, that delicate twist... you're a goddess!"
What was going on here?!
"Khev! Secure the Turbolift! Valdran aid him!" The other female Romulan, identified as a science officer, ordered.
"Yes Officer S'Tarleya Tomalak!" he responded and moved to secure it. He set up two disruptor rifles as turrets, and placed a modulating forcefield on the door.
S'Tarleya Tomalak turned to Gunning, and lighting-quick, marched over to her, seized her ear and tugged - a lot more painful for a Romulan or a Vulcan than a human, but still enough to smart - "You," she spoke in rasping 'human', "child." She half dragged, half marched her to the corner of the bridge. "Sit."
It wasn't a request, but it was to keep her out of trouble. This odd maternal behaviour was definitely misplaced for a Romulan; at least she wasn't fawning over her...

"I'm not a CHILD!" Gunning screeched, highly irritated at being treated like such, and threw the bunny ears at her. "Children don't have breasts you foul, disgusting creature! UNHAND ME!" While she had never been one to draw her gun first, this was crossing the line. Insulting her, molesting her captain... She'd never be able to tolerate Romulans again. The pistol suddenly between Tomalak's eyes was enough to prove that. "You have five seconds to get your filthy hands off me or they'll be mopping us both off the bridge. Understood?"

S'Tarleya Tomalak gave Gunning a very disapproving, almost withering look. It had the patronising tone of one who had dealt with young children before, and said Gunning was being silly to the point of not dignifying it with a response.
"Do you want to die?" The Romulan asked, "Are you prepared to betray your captain by throwing your life away in a meaningless gesture? T'Rehu Dharvanek is negotiating with your captain now. You shame her by causing trouble! Sit!"
S'Tarleya Tomalak did not seem at all fazed by the pistol at all. She had not released Gunning either.

After a moment of hate filled staring, Gunning replied, "I will not sit, but I will remain quiet if you release me. I am 23 human years, not a child in our race, and I will not stand to be treated as such. If my captain were to see this she would be very upset, which would not be good for the negotiations either. Can we agree, or should I pull the trigger?" A rather dark smile formed on her face as her mind tried to summon where Verity should be and if there was a way to get to her.

"Suit yourself," S'Tarleya Tomalak replied quite calmly, too calmly, "but it's for your own good. I know how..." her lips twisted in almost a sneer, but there was too much protectiveness in it - almost affection - for it to be cruel, "fragile" she decided finally after a moment, "you humans are."
She almost shrugged, "but you stay here, and don't make trouble. Seat yourself when your legs feel tired... you'll be standing for a long time." Another pause, "Better to rest, so you can fight the Borg at full strength, but it's your choice."
S'Tarleya Tomalak smiled, knowing she had won - even if Gunning refused to sit.

Verity cocked her head to the side, giving the impression of an inquisitive bird as she stared at a Romulan passionately kissing one of the crew members in the corridor.
Her mind raced with formulas of a biological, sociological and political nature yet this behavior did not compute. She would have to get to one of the other commanding officers, as the head science officers were currently incapacitated. Perhaps Commander Gunning.
Nao'po's face flushed green at the compliments. "No one has ever complimented me on my ears before..." she pulled him closer, wrapping a leg around him despite finding her behavior highly illogical.
Pennington lead the Commander into her Ready Room, reaching around behind her for her desk.
So what exactly are your...terms?

"Surrender your ship." She paused, "but we both know you won't do that. I would demand joint command, but you'd refuse that too. So. You play 'captain'; I am your second. However, until the duration of this mission is over, we are equals." Her smile was less than warm, but it was not directed at Pennington, "We aid you against the Borg, and you aid us against the Cardassians."
A pause. "Are we in agreement?" Her lips flickered, "We must of course, seal our arrangement..." She moved in for another kiss, her eyes locked on Pennington's, and suggesting far more than a kiss.
RAMMING SPEED!
Elsewhere, Vreenak smiled almost shyly, and murmured, "You're so beautiful," - this time in Vulcan. "I've never seen such beautiful ears as yours."

With a deeply annoyed sigh, Gunning dropped her pistol to her side again. Looking around to each of the remaining crew, an idea formed in her head. "Oh fine then... Good grief, it's hot in here..." she whined, peeling her top off, revealing the sparkly, distracting bra from her dance and song earlier that day. A distraction was exactly what she needed. Quickly targeting Khev, she threw on her best charms, making eyes at him from across the room. While admittedly she was no Pennington, she certainly wasn't oblivious. She gave him her best set of bedroom eyes and prayed for it to work.

"Pole's over there," another random redshirt wolf-whistled, indicating the captain's chair. Khev hit him and knocked him out. The butt of a disruptor rifle to the forehead; truly, he was dead meat walking...
S'Tarleya Tomalak was less than amused with the girl's display. Her brow set in a furrow, and she looked set to give the girl a stern talking to; had she been Romulan, no doubt Gunning would have been punished by the 'motherly' Romulan.
Unfortunately, they had more important things to worry about - the borg - the regular borg - were banging against the forcefield...

Gunning inched away and started for the captain's chair, keeping to her task despite the fear welling up in her heart. "You're quite handsome... did you know that?" Batting eyelashes, she untied her long black hair and continued to throw her best tricks. "Would you mind escorting me to my ready room? I would like to find a more comfortable outfit." Gunning purred, resting her hand on Khev's arm affectionately. "I won't be long, promise." She had to find Verity and fast. The borg were getting far too close for comfort.

"Agreed." She kissed her deeply. Fight the Cardassians, who was she kidding, but if they'd help for now...
Verity found her way to the bridge. All of the Romulans seemed distracted, and with the borg absent, she found it an easy journey. She was pleased to find that Commander Gunning was easy to sight in her glittering dancer's top. "Ah, Commander Gunning! Might I request your assistance?" She asked with an android's smile.
Nao'po had now completely forgotten her duty, the borg, the Romulan invasion, all she could think about was his kind words and how good it felt to meet someone who really appreciated her for who she really was, a lonely Vulcan with perfectly formed ears.

Oh thank the stars... "Verity! Most certainly. Sorry love, another time?" Gunning sweetly excused herself from Khev, shirt in hand as she followed the android, trying not to look to excited for an escape. The moment they were off the bridge the shirt when back on and she looked to Verity with an emotion akin to devastation. "There is something really odd going on here." She said, tying her pigtails back up quickly. "Pennington is... engaging in sexual actions with a Romulan, and it's like everyone turned into hormonal teenagers. It's like there is something in the air...."
A light bulb went on inside her head.
"Verity, is there any way to scan the area around the ship to see if there is any sort of interference, something that could be affecting the crew? We gotta be quick, that whore has her hands all over my Pennington... er captain... er... dammit we gotta stop this! It's driving me mad!"
Gunning started off towards the Captain's ready room at a slow, hesitant pace, and muttered under her breath, "When this is over I'm buying myself an android love slave..."

. John screamed a girly scream when Stevey's fingers dug into his skin. "STOP THAT PLEASE!" He shoved huggy Borg away and quickly squeezed through the door, dodging some regular Borg.
. "NOOOOO!!!!" Stevey hid his face in John's chest, "Too many of them!"
. "At least walk by yourself. Gosh," John said, dragging Stevey and quickly moving into a side hall way to hide from the barrage of Borg. "You're like a baby monkey!" John said, scrubbing Stevey's back with one hand and scrambling for a phaser with the other. "Please calm down. Now would be a good time to at least ATTEMPT to calm down."
. "I-I-I-I'm trying but I'm too scared!" Stevey pouted, his orange eyes wide and shining.
. "I KNOW," John wailed.

"COME BACK!" Khev yelled after the pretty, pretty sparkling thing that captivated his eye and bewildered his senses. He took off after her even before S'Tarleya Tomalak could chide Gunning for her childish behaviour; the android had interrupted her tirade before it could occur, and she was in a mind to scold and lecture someone something terrible.
Khev had eyes only for Gunning, and he was not staring at her hips or bust, nor her eyes nor hair, but at the shinies. ...And then it was gone. He fell to his knees and almost wailed, grasping for Gunning's hands, trying to hold her. He was almost tearful; his gaze misty and soulfully sorrow. He looked crushed.
In the readyroom, T'Rehu Dharvanek broke the kiss, took Pennington's wrist firmly in an humanly unbreakable grip and led her over to the captain's desk - and the chair Q had absconded with at least twice before. Then the proud, handsome Romulan commander gently, though forcefully pushed the Federation captain against it...
Her eyes were smiling, and while not adoring, somehow admiring. And hungry - in that reserved Romulan way.
